Day 1 of the Whole 30 Plan

Yesterday was my first day of the Whole 30 Plan, and it was more difficult than I expected. I’ve been eating 80/20 paleo for about 6 months now and have gotten used to having high-fat dairy products and Paleo-fied junk food like almond flour pizza crust and muffins. Needless to say, I was starving yesterday. Still, I managed without any major slip-ups with the help of sweet potatoes (yay!), two excellent salads, some fruit, and samgyupsal for dinner. 

My workout, however, wasn’t nearly as successful. It was pouring rain, so I decided to run on the treadmill. Oh. My. God. I can’t believe that used to be my preferred form of cardio. It’s mind-numbingly boring compared to running outside. According to Endomondo, I did 5.3km in 0:48:18. That’s a bit ridiculous, seeing as how my normal (outdoors) 5k time is 28 minutes. Still, exercise is exercise.
